Summary:

The Recommendation Y.2361 discusses the advance of developing countries towards the digital economy and the different external and internal economic and social asymmetries of each country. This asymmetry highlights the relevance of modern telecommunications infrastructures capable of optimizing the deployment of different technologies to provide broadband, especially in underserved areas.
The Recommendation Y.2361 identifies requirements of open networks and AI models and presents recommendations for fostering universalization of telecommunications/ICT services by network deployment in developing countries.
Therefore, the purpose of this supplement is to complement the ITU-T Y.2361 and collect use cases that show how ITU members are considering and implementing the requirements described in Recommendation Y.2361 and how they intend to approach the combination of open networks and AI models to foster network deployment in developing countries, including potential implementation challenges.
