Summary: Fixed, mobile and satellite convergence (FMSC) is the capability that provides services and applications to end users regardless of the fixed, mobile or satellite access technologies being used. The lightweight network is a network which builds on the integration and simplification of the framework and network functions for IMT-2020 networks and beyond. This Recommendation specifies the general considerations, requirements, framework, network function enhancements, procedures and security considerations of lightweight network for FMSC, in the context of IMT-2020 networks and beyond. This Recommendation provides a guideline and a solution for lightweight network in FMSC network for IMT-2020 and beyond.
