Summary:
|
Location management for supporting discontinuous coverage for FMSC in IMT-2020 networks and beyond enhances the location management in discontinuous coverage scenarios by utilizing satellite and terrestrial location synchronization, predicting location, and other related mechanisms. Specially, location management for supporting discontinuous coverage enhances the registration and paging capabilities of the FMSC to reduce signalling overhead and improve network efficiency.
This Recommendation specifies the scenarios, requirements, functional architecture, functions, procedures and security considerations of location management for supporting discontinuous coverage for FMSC in IMT-2020 networks and beyond.
