Based on the above work progress made by ITU-R, it’s a time window for ITU-T to study and standard the work on non-radio aspects of IMT-2030, on the standardization of network softwarization in the fields of requirements, frameworks, network capabilities, enabling technologies, network function enhancements, and service enhancements. The whole study is specifically to support the non-radio aspects of 2020 network evolution and IMT-2030 networks.
In order to smoothly continue the evolution of the existing study and to address the new network capabilities for IMT-2030, it is essential to begin studying the considerations of network softwarization for 2030 now, which will provide a baseline for network softwarization related work items for IMT-2030 networks. It is suggested that the considerations on network softwarization technologies for IMT-2030 networks should be taken into further study. This proposed Technical Report contributes to the development of the standardization series of network softwarization and IMT-2030 networks.
