Summary: As the implementation of intelligent network applications expands on a large scale, include deploy various AI/ML models embedded within software across multiple management layers or domains ranging from resource operation, service operation to business operation, there is an urgent need for a unified joint development and operation framework to manage the rapid iteration and integration of software, especially those embedded with AI/ML models. Despite initial standardization efforts, a standardized approach for software embedding AI/ML models’ management within joint development and operation is still lacking, hindering the full potential of intelligent network applications. Therefore, the establishment of a joint development and operation framework standard specifically for the telecommunications industry is particularly urgent, to support the effective end-to-end LCM for AI/ML models management and ensure that the full potential of intelligent network applications is systematically realized.
