Recommendation ITU-T J.154 specifies the functional requirements for IP broadcast services in cable television utilising multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) technology as a feature of the IMT-2020 system. This makes it more realistic to provide cable TV services that offer both broadcasting and data communications over the IMT-2020 system with limited bandwidth of the available frequency spectrum.
