Summary:
|
This Recommendation will provide specific guidance on how to assess in a simplified manner the GHG emissions impact of the use of ICT solutions, for instance in other sectors of the economy, as a complement to L.1480rev.
It will in particular provide guidance on how to assess the avoided environmental impact resulting from the introduction of ICT Solutions, when it is assessed that the impact is actually positive. It is expected that a method to assess the uncertainty and sensitivity will be provided with the aim to make visible the relation between the degree of simplification and the ability to draw conclusions.
This new work item will have a very close link with the ongoing work on L.1480rev, jointly elaborated by ITU-T and ETSI EE. It will be important to ensure that both Recommendations are consistent and well aligned.
