Summary: In order to support QKD service to mobile objects (i.e., autonomous car, mobile phone, etc.), it is challenging to establish and maintain a quantum channel stably with them and supporting KSA-keys. Such challenge calls for a solution to integrate the QKDN and user networks supporting modern cryptography services. Y.QKDN-nq-rf addresses these challenges and specifies several architectural models, requirements, and a framework architecture for the integration. This draft Recommendation is about to be consented at the July 2024 meeting. This draft Recommendation specifies functional architecture for integration of QKDN and UNemc. It will define a functional architecture, functions, reference points and operational procedures.
