Energy efficiency (EE) is the relation between the useful output and energy/power consumption [ITU-T L.1330]. In Developing Countries, considering the limitation on energy supply and energy price, the energy efficiency management on the communications network is of great importance, which may significantly reduce the power consumption of communications network, and thus promote the development of communications network and communications users. This Supplement addresses the following aspects of IMT-2020 network energy efficiency in Developing Countries: General consideration; Use cases; Requirements; Framework; Network enhancements; Procedures; Security considerations.
