Digital technologies play a crucial role in making a city sustainable. Building Infrastructure Management Systems (BIMS) is one of the core components of a city infrastructure. Examples of building equipment include energy, water, gas, heating, cooling, and firefighting, within a building.
There is a lack of interoperability between the building equipment’s and the management systems due to the conventional manner that they have been operating in an exclusive and closed form. In order to respond to the environment-related regulations such as greenhouse gas reduction, there is a need for efficient information sharing beyond simple building management functions.
This draft Recommendation describes specification of a resolution method to enable seamless information sharing for equipment at the building infrastructure in sustainable city.
