Summary: This Recommendation describes a crowdsourcing approach for conducting subjective evaluations of video quality of experience. In comparison to the laboratory test described in [ITU-T Rec. P.910] and [ITU-T Rec. P.911], using the crowdsourcing approach relies on participants who are connected via an online platform and use their own devices. The current Recommendation gives guidance on database structure, the design of the experiment, test procedure, and data analyses and reporting of results. The method is to be seen as complementary to laboratory-based evaluations, which are described in [ITU-T Rec. P.910] and [ITU-T Rec. P.911].
