Summary:
|
This draft Recommendation specifies the framework of fixed, mobile and satellite convergence in IMT-2020 network and beyond. Fixed, mobile and satellite convergence are the capabilities that provide services and applications to end users regardless of the fixed, mobile or satellite access technologies being used and independently of the users' location.
The following aspects of fixed, mobile and satellite convergence are addressed in this Recommendation:
Design considerations for fixed, mobile and satellite convergence.
Framework of fixed, mobile and satellite convergence, including the overall framework, framework of land-based converged network, and framework of satellite-based converged network.
Enabling technologies of fixed, mobile and satellite convergence, including mobility management, session management, connection management, subscription management, service continuity, traffic scheduling, network slicing, multi-access edge computing, network self-organizing, AI/ML, DLT, and QIT.
Network function enhancements of fixed, mobile and satellite convergence.
Procedures of fixed, mobile and satellite convergence.
Security considerations.
