Subject/title: Crowdsourcing approach for measuring end-to-end QoS in fixed broadband and mobile networks
Summary: This Recommendation outlines the different crowdsourcing approaches used to measure the QoS on both the fixed broadband and mobile networks. User equipment, consumer premise equipment and its software have evolved to become faster, more powerful and are enabled to perform measurements. This enabled the crowdsourcing approach which seeks to increase the amount of technical parameter which can be collected from end-users without modification to existing hardware and software. Increasingly, users such as regulators and service providers have started to adopt the crowdsourcing approach to measure consumers' experience. However, crowdsourced measurements can be deployed in multiple ways and different approach provides different view of QoS.
