Key Insights

BDT supported Member States in strengthening national digital ecosystems through open, secure, interoperable, and scalable digital public infrastructure. This includes advancing the G20 Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) safeguards and interoperability frameworks, which provide guidance on privacy, security, data governance, and technical standards. These efforts help ensure that digital services are safe, reliable, and compatible across platforms, enabling governments to deliver efficient, inclusive, and citizen-centric services while fostering innovation and sustainable digital transformation.

BDT coordinated activities in GovStack and the Open Source Ecosystem Enabler (OSEE) initiatives, and advanced broader efforts to strengthen regional presence while providing Member States with practical instruments to accelerate digital transformation.

BDT continued its global advocacy for digital health solutions for Non-Communicable Diseases (NCD) prevention and care (BHBM). It raised the visibility of country needs and opportunities through high-level international engagement, including two major side events. These were Unleashing the Power of Digital Health Solutions for NCDs at the UN General Assembly 2025 and Empowering Self-Care: Digital Innovations for NCD Prevention and Management at the World Health Assembly. Both events brought together partners to accelerate action.
