СIS4: Digital skills and information and communication technology accessibility for the public, in particular for persons with disabilities
In Armenia, workshops with NGO White Cane trained participants on website and app accessibility for visually impaired users. Attendees developed recommendations to improve public website accessibility, promoting more inclusive digital environments.
In Belarus, training sessions with the State Academy of Communications introduced AI tools to children with hearing impairments, supporting inclusive learning and helping bridge communication gaps.
In Kyrgyzstan, in-person trainings for rural teachers in five regions—organized with the Academy of Digital Innovations—covered information and communication technology accessibility, inclusive content, and strategies for integrating students with disabilities. The initiative supports national goals for inclusive education and digital equity.
In April, a regional forum in Bishkek for International Girls in ICT Day brought together participants from six countries to explore digital solutions for women-led businesses, STEM careers, and online safety. With over 300 attendees, the event featured hands-on workshops and mentorship, empowering women to thrive in the digital economy.
