CIS2: Cybersecurity and personal data protection
With support from the World Bank, Kyrgyzstan established its Computer Incident Response Team, deploying sensors and launching a centralized monitoring centre to boost cyber resilience and foster international collaboration. The initiative promoted a secure digital environment and stronger national capacity to counter cyber threats.
Cybersecurity exercises in Kyrgyzstan (with OSCE), Armenia (with ISAA), and Belarus (with BSUIR) simulated real-world incidents to strengthen response capabilities and regional cooperation. Belarus’s training focused on protecting critical infrastructure and building practical skills for managing complex cyber threats.
In Armenia, a roundtable with 20 children aged 8–16 explored online safety. Follow-up trainings reached 225 children, parents, and teachers, covering privacy, password security, media literacy, and digital citizenship.
In Kazakhstan, over 150 people joined a CyberSafe for Families session on digital risks. At KazHackStan 2025, a panel with the Center for Analysis and Investigation of Cyber Attacks (TSARKA) and the United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund emphasized multi-stakeholder action and policy measures to protect children online.
