CIS2: Cybersecurity and personal data protection

Funded by ITU and the World Bank, the Computer Incident Response Team (CIRT) establishment project in Kyrgyzstan continued. Workforce development is bolstered by a comprehensive staff training program and student involvement from Kyrgyz State Technical University, an ITU Academia member, ensuring skilled talent for CIRT’s operations.

In cooperation with the Digital Innovation Academy of Kyrgyzstan and with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic, a series of training sessions within the framework of the ITU Global Programme on Child Online Protection (COP) was successfully completed for secondary school computer science teachers and specialists of educational and methodological centers of schools in the regions of the country.
