An assessment and action plan for regional harmonization, “Digital policy action areas for a connected ASEAN”, was published. This report assesses the level of readiness of digital policy, legal and governance frameworks for digital transformation in the ASEAN member states and proposes action areas.

Technical inputs were provided to Cambodia in developing a 5G Rollout Action plan and technical inputs were provided to the Philippines in  the development of its National Digital Connectivity Plan.

ASEAN Digital Ministers, in line with the ASEAN Digital Masterplan have endorsed ASEAN-ITU 2024-2026 Priority Cooperation Areas (PCA) to promote ASEAN connectivity and facilitate ASEAN peoples’ participation in the digital economy and digital society. The PCA provides a reference framework to collaborate in the following areas, inter alia, Digital Government and Digital Services; Cybersecurity and Digital Security; Infrastructure Development; Digital Inclusion; Capacity and Innovation Strengthening; Telecommunication and Digital Policies; Emergency Telecommunications and Climate Change.
