ARB2: Enhancing confidence, security and privacy in the use of telecommunications/information and communication technologies in the era of new and emerging digital technologies

Cooperation with Mauritania kicked off with the aim of enhancing the National Cybersecurity Governance framework. The focus was strengthening the fight against cybercrime, raising awareness, providing training, and protecting the critical information systems of official institutions and vital operators.

The Regional Cybersecurity Readiness Exercise held in Morocco engaged participants in hands-on exercises focused on emerging cyberattacks and scenarios on critical infrastructure and disinformation campaigns.

A tabletop exercise and a cybersecurity incident simulation exercise, organized in collaboration with the UAE Cybersecurity Council, centered, respectively, around a role-playing scenario simulating a cyber-attack directed at a financial institution and around an in-depth exploration of the subtle characteristics of Advanced Persistent Threat attacks, to enhance their ability to detect, respond to, and mitigate such attacks.
