Implementing Child Online Protection in Uzbekistan
Working in close cooperation with the Ministry of Digital Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan and national partners, the ITU Regional Office for the CIS concluded a series of training activities in Uzbekistan aimed at developing children’s digital literacy and ensuring their safety online.
“I would like to thank the Ministry of Digital Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan for their efforts to successfully implement the ITU Child Online Protection Guidelines in Uzbekistan which will pave the way for a secure and engaging digital future for the youth of Uzbekistan,” said Dr Cosmas Luckyson Zavazava, Director of ITU’s Telecommunication Development Bureau.
Educators from across Uzbekistan were trained on translated and localized Child Online Protection course materials. They will incorporate this new knowledge into their teaching curriculums.
