Empowering Girls in Technology through Programming and Innovation
The Americas Girls Can Code (AGCC) initiative supports development of girls’ digital skills by promoting coding, robotics and other science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) activities, with the objective of raising awareness about the possibilities and benefits of pursuing careers in ICTs.

An AGCC event was organised by the ITU Regional Office for the Americas with the support of the Subsecretaría de Tecnologías de la Información de Argentina and the Gobierno de Quilmes (Quilmes City Hall).
The event provided a platform for participants to engage in various technological activities, including programming, and highlighted the importance of fostering gender diversity in technology fields, encouraging more women and girls to pursue careers in ICT.
