Waqas Ramzam
Waqas Ramzam is a technology professional, inclusion advocate, and social entrepreneur from Pakistan. Visually impaired since birth, he developed an early interest in technology, memorizing mobile systems and mastering screen readers that later became central to his education and career.
In 2024, he participated in the train-the-trainer course conducted by the Virtual University of Pakistan, as part of the ITU-Cisco Digital Transformation Centre initiative. The course strengthened local capacity to advance digital inclusion and accessibility, by preparing visually impaired trainers and sighted assistants to teach basic computer skills to people with visual impairments.
Waqas spent eight years with the Blind Help Project, a global volunteer-based organization supporting the visually impaired through technology. As IT Executive, he managed digital operations, later serving as HR Officer to coordinate volunteers and improve internal management. He contributed as a content editor, mentoring new writers and enhancing outreach.

This is one of the most unique trainings I have experienced. The real-time collaboration between the visually impaired trainers and the sighted trainers was an amazing feature of this training program. I never thought that we could work in such a collaborative way.
