Bernardina Coronel Pesoa
Bernardina Coronel Pesoa is a youth leader from the Qom people, an indigenous community in Santa Rosa, Paraguay. She is an active advocate for digital inclusion, cultural preservation, and youth participation in the Gran Chaco region.
As part of the Chaco Network of Digital Content Creators, Bernardina helps indigenous youth connect with digital tools to express their identity, share their stories, and access new opportunities. Through BDT’s work on Digital Inclusion, she has strengthened her digital communication and storytelling skills, which she now shares through workshops and mentoring.
Bernardina is a member of CONAMURI, an organization representing rural and indigenous women in Paraguay. There, she contributes to initiatives that promote gender equality, community leadership, and technology as a means of empowerment.

Her work demonstrates how youth-led innovation can bridge the digital divide while preserving cultural heritage. Bernardina envisions a connected future for the Qom and other indigenous communities, where technology serves as a bridge for learning, unity, and sustainable development.
The young people in my community are more active than ever. We are learning to understand technology. Now I am participating in regional networks and international spaces: that was my dream, and it is becoming real.
