What is Digital@UNGA?
Digital@UNGA is a week-long programme convened by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) during the 2025 United Nations General Assembly. It brings together world leaders, innovators, civil society, and youth to spotlight how digital technologies can be a force for good, for people and prosperity.
The programme includes:
- A flagship Anchor Event, titled ” Digital for good: For people and prosperity,” at UN Headquarters, New York
- A series of Affiliate Sessions organized by partners across UN High Level Week.
- The Digit’all Voices campaign, inviting global citizens to share questions with leaders.
Building on the SDG Digital events in 2023 and 2024, and anchored in the World Summit on the Information Society outcomes and the Global Digital Compact (2024), Digital@UNGA 2025 responds to the global call for action to ensure that digital transformation is inclusive, human-centred, and delivers for everyone, everywhere.
At it’s core is Digit’all — the idea that digital technologies must be inclusive and accessible to all.
Programme highlights
At the heart of the programme is the Anchor Event, hosted by ITU and UNDP, on 23 September 2025 (18:00–21:00 EST) in the Delegates Dining Room at United Nations Headquarters, New York. This high-level gathering will feature government and industry leaders, civil society, international organizations, and young changemakers showcasing how digital tools are improving lives and shaping inclusive societies.

In addition to the Anchor Event, a series of Affiliate Sessions will run throughout the UN General Assembly High Level Week. These independently organized, partner-led events broaden the Digital@UNGA stage, spotlighting transformative digital solutions and expand the conversation across diverse communities and sectors.
Objectives
- Reaffirm digital technologies as a unifying force, capable of advancing inclusion and opportunity for all
- Showcase impactful use cases where digital tools have directly improved lives, especially in healthcare, education, economic empowerment and public service delivery
- Announce new multistakeholder pledges through the Partner2Connect Digital Coalition, accelerating universal and meaningful connectivity
- Inspire future action through dialogue, expert insights and audience engagement, shaping what must be done today to ensure tomorrow’s digital landscape is equitable and empowering
- Celebrate changemakers advancing bold digital solutions
