Where will the new building be situated?
The new building will replace the Varembé building, inaugurated in 1962, facing the iconic Place des Nations at the heart of International Geneva. Just a few hundred meters away, the United Nations is building a new visitor centre. Since 1948, ITU is headquartered in Geneva. While locations and names have evolved, ITU has been at the centre of technology advances since the dawn of the first telegraph network in the 19th century. Read ITU’s history here.

Your contribution will be essential to ensure we remain fit for purpose in our mission to connect the world. Leaders and thousands of experts from around the world meet every year at ITU Headquarters to discuss the future of ICTs, making it an ideal platform to showcase the latest technology and modern work solutions your country or company has to offer. Not only ITU members, but also third parties can sponsor or donate. Individual Member States and Sector Members can sponsor individually, or jointly.
