Manifestations organisées dans le cadre de la journée internationale des jeunes filles dans le secteur des TIC en 2016

St. Vincent & the Grenadines, 2016, April 28​

Approxiamately two hun​dred and seventy seven  (277) third and fourth form girls from twenty secondary schools were set to visit 25 companies and government ministries/departments across St. Vincent & the Grenadines on International Girls in ICT Day 2016.  

The objectives for today's two-hour visit  were to:

1. Highlight ICT related career options within the institutions

2.  Inspire the girls by selecting prominent female employees in the ICT field  to speak to them about choosing ICT careers

3. Demonstrate the practical use and importance of at least one form of technology (including equipment) that is used in the daily operations of the organization. 

4. As far as possible allow the students to gain hands on experience

Union Island, St. Vincent & the Grenadines, 2016, April 26​

Two workshops were held on the Grenadines Island of Union.  

One for grades five and six of the Mary Hutchinson and Stephanie Brown Primary schools and the other for the thrid and fourth form girls of the Union Island Secondary school.​
