Unlocking the Potential of Virtual Worlds
By harnessing the power of virtual worlds, UN Virtual Worlds Day set the stage for future collaborative efforts, showcasing how these digital ecosystems can support a more sustainable and inclusive global future.
350+ Participants
The first UN Virtual Worlds Day brought more than 350 participants from around the world, both in person and online, to explore innovations in virtual reality and digital technologies.
UN metaverse Think-a-Thon 2024
One of the key features of the event was the UN metaverse Think-a-Thon 2024, where participants designed innovative virtual simulations aimed at revolutionizing urban planning, education, and disaster preparedness. The Think-a-Thon invited students, academics, and industry leaders to develop cutting-edge solutions for smarter, more sustainable cities.
