Biel, Switzerland, 2016, April 28​

Students from the Biel region aged from 13 to 18 have been invited to this year's Girls in ICT event. OFCOM supported the initiator of the day of action – the international Telecommunication Union (ITU) – in his project for the second time with its program of events on 28 April 2016. 

Finally, 13 interested, young woman have applied for this interesting day on our main premises in Biel.

In the morning the young woman could choose between the following workshops:

• Programming an AP for the smartphone
• Creating and editing a film
• Search for radio frequencies with modern measuring devices

During the varied morning our mediamatic learners informed about the career opportunities in the ICT sector in general and about their apprenticeship in our Federal Office.

In the afternoon, Mrs. Gabriela Seiz, Vice-Director and Head of Radio Monitoring and Equipment, held an exciting presentation about her personal career.
