Geek Girl Festival

The goal of this year's event was to:

• Inspire attendees to take up careers in technology
• Provide a platform for attendees to interact with experts in the technology industry for guidance and mentorship
• Provide practical technical skills to attendees through training sessions that will be happening during the event
• Provide a platform for sharing and learning amongst attendees

This event was targeted towards high school and university students who are:

• Looking to explore different facets of technology
• Need career guidance and mentorship
• Need hands on skills in programming design and hardware

This one day event involved the following activities:

• Breakout training sessions where the girls will:
• Learn to build a Web page in a day
• Build a mobile app in a day
• Build a game in a day among others​​
