This year, Comores Telecom in partnership with FAC Association organized for the first time, International Girls in ICT Day event at the offices of Comores Telecom in Moroni, Comoros.
The 23rd April 2015, Comores Telecom opened his doors to girls and the women employees are volunteering their time to mentor them. Twenty girls from the Tsidjé School in Itsandra were chosen to participate. They were taken to the offices of Comores Telecom in order to be given a tour of the premises along with a demonstration of how the machines function.
The tour was followed by a visit and a Q&A session with Mrs Housna Zoubeiri-Said Ibrahim, a female manager at Comores Telecom who discussed her career in the ICT industry.
This was followed by a video message from the ITU and a ceremony where Mrs Amina Abdallah, the General Director‘s legal adviser, issued certificates of participation to the girls.
