Summary: This draft Recommendation addresses the growing challenge of uncoordinated storage-charging, which can cause grid congestion, unstable load profiles and inefficient use of energy storage. It specifies an IoT-based framework enabling real-time coordination between multiple storage charging infrastructure and the electric grid to optimize storage-charging operations and enhance overall energy efficiency. The standard provides the reference architecture covering functionalities and control mechanisms to support interoperable and scalable storage-charging coordination management.
