Summary: The intermittency of photovoltaic (PV) generation requires coordination with energy storage to enhance efficiency. This recommendation defines a framework of IoT-based photovoltaic-storage coordinated energy management and control. The system enables coordinated management and control functionalities by integrating PV and storage. These functions strengthen energy efficiency and sustainable energy systems by maximizing PV utilization, enhancing flexibility, and reducing operational and maintenance costs. This draft Recommendation provides the overview, framework and coordination mechanism of photovoltaic-storage coordinated energy management and control.
