Summary: As a high carbon emission industry, improving the accuracy of GHG emissions accounting in power systems is important. Yet, there are no GHG emission accounting guidelines in power systems of ITU-T's Recommendations. With different countries and time points committing to achieving net zero emissions, it is necessary to develop a standardized guideline to calculate carbon emissions in power systems by leveraging ICT technologies. This Recommendation describes a guideline for GHG emissions accounting system with the use of ICT technologies in the power sector, including: Management scope and general requirements of GHG emissions accounting in power systems. Framework for GHG emissions accounting system in power systems. Methods for GHG emissions accounting with the use of ICT technologies. Some typical scenarios in power systems.
