Summary:

The P.1204 recommendation series do not have support for the latest video codecs. This work item will extend the scope of the P.1204 recommendations with support for relevant and modern video codecs. Note that this work is already ongoing and has been started as part of existing work items. However, the set of work items in Q14/12 has been updated, thus there is no natural work item that can host this work. A new work item is needed.
