Summary:
|
According to Recommendation ITU-T Y.3081, the self-controlled identity (SCid) is defined as an identity created, controlled and managed in a decentralized manner by the entity itself. The SCid aims to satisfy the emerging user-centric/entity-centric requirements of advanced network services, such as self-created transportable identity, cross network interoperability, minimum disclosure of identity related data, trust chain of the credentials, etc.
Since the features of the SCid could be used in various scenarios of different aspects of the network, such as the innovative network service, network interoperability and multi-party management of network, it is necessary to provide service scenarios and use cases of SCid to guide on how to use the SCid system and migrate from conventional approaches.
Therefore, it is proposed to initiate a new Supplement on the service scenarios and use cases of self-controlled identity based on blockchain in future networks on the basis of ITU-T Y.3081.
