Summary:
|
The power system utilizes IoT-based electric power infrastructure to collect, aggregate, and distribute IoT data, which is used to enhance the digitization and intelligence of energy and electricity, has become a development trend. In terms of data collaboration, an entity is required to get data from multiple power information systems. However, the authetication methods of the power information systems varies , as a result, entities are required to develop multiple functions to cope with corresponding authentication methods, which results in a high cost for development and maintainance . Therefore, a unified authentication service for data collaboration is required.
The unified authentication service is deployed between entities and power information systems, and can be deployed in a centralized way for better efficiency or distributed way for security issues. It receives authentication requests from different entities with unified format, convert data format to adapt for target systems, distribute them to destinations and return information to entities.which reduces the development and maintainance cost.
This draft new Recommendation specifies a framework of unified authentication service for data collaboration.
