Subject/title: QoS management protocol for time constraint applications over SDN
Summary: Traffic generated by smart devices becomes a significant part of Internet. Smart devices require mobility and guaranteed quality of services which need to be managed. Potentially, SDN-based technologies will be used for managing all types of services and therefore, SDN is to be tasked to manage these kinds of demands as well. A significant number of the available Internet services require exact value of network parameters such as latency, jitter, RTT and bandwidth. Using SDN capabilities for managing network parameters, it will give a possibility to implement new time constraint services including tactile Internet, augmented reality, e-health applications. This draft Recommendation describes QoS management protocol for time constraint applications over SDN. This protocol is responsible for QoS management through interactions among user and/or machine type devices, application server, and SDN management server. It describes signalling architecture, signalling procedures, message formats.
