This standard defines the mapping of Mode 1: 2160-line Source image formats and ancillary data into a 12 Gb/s [nominal] SDI bit-serial interface, i.e., the so-called 12G-SDI. This interface is recommended for newer devices with an interface supporting 4K video signals, o be used as a bundle of 4 channels to support 8K video signal, as suggested in 7.1.1.3.2 and elsewhere of F.Med-UHD.
