Commutation de protection pour les réseaux MPLS

La présente Recommandation indique les prescriptions et les mécanismes relatifs à la fonctionnalité de commutation de protection 1+1 et 1:1 dans le plan utilisateur pour les réseaux à commutation multiprotocole avec étiquettes (MPLS, multi-protocol label switching). Le mécanisme défini ici est conçu pour la prise en charge de conduits commutés avec étiquettes (LSP, label switched path) point à point de bout en bout. La fonctionnalité de commutation de protection pour des conduits LSP multipoint à point ou point à multipoint appelle un complément d'étude, de même que la commutation de protection m:n. La commutation de protection transparente n'est pas abordée dans cette version de la présente Recommandation.
