La Recommandation UIT-T J.225 définit les systèmes de transmission de données à haut débit par câble de quatrième génération. Les systèmes de transmission de quatrième génération comprennent plusieurs fonctionnalités nouvelles, qui s'appuient sur les spécifications des Recommandations UIT-T précédentes: UIT-T J.112, UIT-T J.122, série UIT-T J.222.x et série UIT-T J.223.x. Cette Recommandation inclut de nouvelles caractéristiques essentielles pour la couche physique (PHY), et des améliorations des protocoles de la couche de commande d'accès au support (MAC), ainsi que des exigences pour les protocoles de couche supérieure tels que le protocole Internet (IP), le protocole de configuration dynamique du serveur (DHCP), etc. Toutes les spécifications des câblo-modems de quatrième génération sont intégrées dans cette Recommandation. Le Supplément 10, informatif, à la série J de Recommandations UIT-T contient la correspondance entre les versions DOCSIS et les Recommandations UIT-T, nouvelles ou révisées.NOTE – La structure et le contenu de cette Recommandation ont été organisés de manière à faciliter son utilisation, moyennant des références directes aux documents originaux, compte tenu de l'habilitation de CableLabs par l'UIT conformément à la Recommandation UIT-T A.5. |
