La Recommandation UIT-T Y.3182 décrit un cadre intelligent et rentable pour la gestion et l'orchestration des réseaux permettant de faire face aux problèmes que pose le découpage de réseau multi-domaine, tout en réduisant au minimum les interventions humaines pour aller vers une automatisation complète de la gestion du cycle de vie des tranches de réseau et des opérations d'exécution. Elle porte sur les sujets suivants:
