En la Recomendación UIT-T J.183 se describe un formato de multiplexación por división en el tiempo (TDM) para la transmisión de trenes de transporte MPEG-2 y/o de trenes de transporte en formatos genéricos utilizando una implementación sencilla de interfaz física de sistemas MPEG-2 en sistemas de televisión por cable. La trama TDM encapsula los trenes de transporte MPEG-2 y/o los trenes de transporte en formatos genéricos, paquetizados a una longitud de 188 bytes antes de la transmisión. Se describe además la estructura de tramas para la transmisión a alta velocidad mediante la vinculación de canales.El formato permite la interoperatividad con el formato de transmodulación de satélite existente, diseñado a partir de las especificaciones del Anexo C/J.83 y del Anexo C/J.84 (sistema SMATV C(III)).Este formato se puede aplicar a otros sistemas de transmisión. Se recomienda transmitir la información sobre el formato de trama en la tabla de información de la red simultáneamente, cuando dicho formato se introduzca en los sistemas de televisión por cable digitales existentes. Se necesita para que la unidad de adaptación multimedios identifique el canal digital que contiene múltiples trenes de transporte MPEG-2 y/o trenes de transporte en formatos genéricos. |
