أنظمة الإرسال من الجيل الثاني لخدمات التلفزيون الكبلي التفاعلي ( المودمات الكبلية لبروتوكول الإنترنت

تصف هذه التوصية أنظمة الإرسال التي تتسق مع تلك التي جاء وصفها في التوصية ITU-T J.112. والغرض منها هو توفير التكنولوجيا التي يمكن من خلالها تلبية الطلب على خدمات متناظرة على شبكات الكبل. وهذه التكنولوجيا من الجيل الثاني، في حين تستخدم قناة الترددات الراديوية نفسها، تتوافق مع ما سبق في التوصية ITU-T J.112. وهي توفر زيادة كبيرة في سعة قناة باتجاه المصدر بقنوات أوسع وارتفاعاً في معدل الرموز وزيادة في كفاءة استخدام الطيف. وهي تتناول تشفير CDMA المتزامن وTDMA المتقدم وتضيف أيضاً قدرات تشكيل أعلى مرتبةً. وهي أكثر متانة فيما يتعلق بالحصانة من الضوضاء وتوفر قدراً أكبر من الحماية المتعددة المسيرات من التكنولوجيا المستخدمة في التوصية ITU-T J.112.
