أنظمة الإرسال من الجيل الرابع لخدمات التلفزيون الكبلي التفاعلية - المودمات الكبلية لبروتوكول الإنترنت

توصِّف التوصية ITU-T J.225 أنظمة نقل البيانات عالية السرعة عبر الكبلات من الجيل الرابع. ‏وتقدم أنظمة الإرسال من الجيل الرابع عدداً من الخصائص الجديدة التي تستند إلى ما كان موجوداً في التوصيات السابقة، وهي ‎ITU-T J.112 ‏و‎ITU-T J.122 والسلسلة ‎ITU-T J.222.x ‏والسلسلة ‎ITU-T J.223.x. وتشمل هذه التوصية ميزات جديدة للطبقة المادية (PHY) وتحسينات لبروتوكولات طبقة التحكم في النفاذ إلى الوسائط (MAC) إضافةً إلى متطلبات من أجل بروتوكولات الطبقة العليا مثل بروتوكول الإنترنت (IP) وبروتوكول تشكيلة المضيف الدينامية (DHCP) وما إلى ذلك. وتشمل مواصفات الجيل الرابع للمودم الكبلي مواصفات الجيل الرابع بشكل كامل. وتحتوي الإضافة الإعلامية 10 لتوصيات السلسلة J لقطاع تقييس الاتصالات على التطابق بين إصدارات مواصفات السطح البيني للبيانات عبر الخدمة الكبلية (DOCSIS) ومراجعات توصيات قطاع تقييس الاتصالات وأجيالها.‏ملاحظة - تم تنظيم هيكل ومحتوى هذه التوصية ‏لتسهيل استعمالها من خلال الإحالة المباشرة إلى المواد الأصلية المصدر، استناداً إلى اعتراف الاتحاد بالشبكات ‎CableLabs ‏وفقاً للتوصية ‎ITU-T A.5.
