ومع تزايد وقوع الأحداث المناخية المتطرفة في العالم، أصبح هناك إجماع عالمي على التعامل مع تغير المناخ، وكثفت البلدان الجهود لإدارة ومراقبة انبعاثات غازات الاحتباس الحراري (GHG) الخاصة بها. والتطور السريع لتكنولوجيا المعلومات والاتصالات (ICT) يوفر أداة فعالة لإدارة غازات الاحتباس الحراري. ومن خلال تطبيق البيانات الضخمة والحوسبة السحابية وتكنولوجيا المعلومات والاتصالات الأخرى لبناء نظام لإدارة انبعاثات غازات الاحتباس الحراري (GHGEMS)، يمكن للقطاع العام أن يحدد كمية الانبعاثات الإقليمية لغازات الاحتباس الحراري ومراقبتها وإدارتها بدقة أكبر، وبالتالي تحقيق دعم القرار القائم على البيانات. وتقترح التوصية ITU-T L.1490 إدارة انبعاثات غازات الاحتباس الحراري باستخدام تكنولوجيا المعلومات والاتصالات للقطاع العام، وتحدد متطلبات مبادئ بناء النظام وإطاره ومتطلباته الوظيفية. |
