تعرف التوصية ITU-T L.1028 النسبة UER10 كمؤشر لتأثير تمديد عمر تشغيل معدات تكنولوجيا المعلومات والاتصالات على إمكانية الاحترار العالمي الناتج (GWP). يمكن أن تساعد النسبة UER10 الممارس على تقدير الأهمية النسبية لانبعاثات غازات الاحتباس الحراري في مرحلة الاستخدام (GHG) مقابل الانبعاثات المتأصلة في المنتج طوال فترة عمره.
