تصف التوصية ITU-T Y.2501 إطار ومعمارية شبكة القدرة الحاسوبية (CPN). وهذا نوع جديد من الشبكات يحقق التخصيص الأمثل للموارد، عن طريق توزيع معلومات موارد الحوسبة والتخزين والشبكة وغيرها من الموارد لعقد الخدمة من خلال مستوى التحكم في الشبكة. فهي تجمع بين بيئة الشبكة ومتطلبات المستعمل لتحقيق التوزيع الأمثل والاقتران والمعاملات وجدولة الحوسبة والتخزين وموارد الشبكة.
