电信杆是最重要的网络基础设施之一，用于支撑架空的电信线路，在木杆中，由于支撑通信线路，存在着下列情形：当防腐处理的防腐剂功效已经减弱到门限以下时，木杆会受到生物制剂的腐蚀、遭到破坏，健康的木杆必须保持线路安全所要求的机械强度，木杆以及其更换的高成本需要对木杆进行保护以延长其使用期限，同时对工人的安全和杆的预期使用期限予以足够的重视。这能够通过不同的系统来实现，例如浸渍、降低、恢复和再次分类。公用杆使用的另一种材料是混凝土，这些杆插在土壤中，但在某些情况下它们会倾斜或者被强风一类的暴力推倒，这种现象主要是由于地基损坏，ITU-T L.88建议书涉及了电信杆地基的完整性测量。 |
