Proposals

Guidelines for the preparation and submission of proposals
Detailed guidelines for the preparation and submission of proposals to the forthcoming World Conference on International Telecommunications (WCIT-12) are provided in Circular letter 64 and in Document WCIT-12/ADM/1. See some of the salient features.

Deadline for the submission of proposals
Recalling No. 40 of the General Rules of conferences, assemblies and meetings of the Union, on the time-limits for proposals to conferences, and Resolution 165 of the Plenipotentiary Conference (Guadalajara, 2010) on the cut-off dates for contributions to conferences, assemblies and meetings of the Union, by Decision 573, the ITU Council urges Member States to submit their contributions one month prior to the opening of the conference, i.e. 3 November 2012.

Coordinated proposals
In accordance with No. 44 of the General Rules of conferences, assemblies and meetings of the Union, the Secretary General assembled the proposals received from Member States. See draft Document WCIT-12/DT/1.

Council Working Group

The report of CWG-WCIT-12 (Document WCIT-12/4) should serve to assist Member States in preparing their proposals for the work of the conference.
