Ruchen WYNGAARD is a technology enthusiast - someone who enjoys the implementation of technology across several disciplines. He obtained his M.Com Information Systems with a focus on virtual reality and human cognition while studying towards a postgraduate diploma in immersive technologies.
He is also a lecturer at the University of Western (UWC) in the Department of Information Systems with a specialisation in software development, including mobile and web technologies as well as immersive technologies. In his undergraduate year, he managed to run a start-up e-commerce business of his own for several years after its inception as a project for one of the modules he was enrolled in. He was awarded a certificate for entrepreneurship in 2018 by UWC in recognition of his achievements. Ruchen also has a background in managing IT projects and apart from his commitment to UWC, he is the Head Technology Educator at the Shaw Academy, a privately own online education organisation based in Dublin with an international footprint. Ruchen spends a lot of his time reading as well exploring the realm of science and technology and he really enjoys activities that involve the outdoors
